Spafford Outline Spring 2023 Tour

Spafford has announced a string of spring tour dates, slated to begin on March 23 at The Broadway in Richmond, Va. After the first night on the road, the band will perform a trio of east coast shows before moving through the Southern region of the United States. Jam rock band Spafford made a stop in Buffalo for their winter tour on Tuesday, January 31st. The group has traveled all over the country in honor of their latest album release Simple Mysteries. This 4th studio album of theirs was recorded throughout the course of the pandemic and now gets to be played by fans everywhere.

As a follow-up to their tour opener, the band will participate in a pair of shows in The Keystone State before popping over to Ithaca, N.Y., on March 26 for a performance at Deep Dive. On April 1, the group will gig at Atlanta’s one-day Mental Awakening event. Then, Spafford will continue their spring run with a pair of Arkansas concerts, followed by a one-night stand at Chelsea’s Live in Baton Rouge, La., prior to an excursion through Alabama and Flordia. The final date of the newly announced run lands on April 22 and will see the group take the stage at Elevation 27 in Virginia Beach, Va., on April 22.

On Saturday night, Spafford took to the stage at Philadelphia’s Brooklyn Bowl to continue their winter tour. The January 28 performance follows the band’s appearance at Ardmore Music Hall the night before, where they welcomed Disco founding member Biscuits and keyboardist Aron Magner. After a sold-out opening show in Charlotte the night before, Schechtman is gearing up for his sixth performance in Spafford and only his second as a full-time member of the band. Spafford’s longtime keyboard player, Andrew “Red” Johnson, originally invited Schecthman to replace him for a gig in September, and the lineup change became permanent soon after when Red decided to leave.
